This section is composed of members interested in organizing and helping to carry out events and projects that benefit our community. This section is also responsible for communications between members and the public.
Projects. This section will work on include pursuing a public park, playground and other public spaces where citizens can gather in Pipe Creek. This task will require acquiring or leasing land, design and construction details, park materials and playground equipment. This is an ambitious undertaking that will require time, expertise, volunteers and money. If you have any expertise, insights or interest in this project, we need your help! Please notify the chairman or attend the next PCCA Events/Projects meeting.
Communication. This section will also be responsible for communications for the PCCA. We are developing a website to keep the public updated on what the PCCA is doing. This will include an “activities and meetings calendar”. Other communication activities include; public signs, advertising, press releases, promotions at events, social media posting, email notifications, interacting with neighboring organizations, and others.
Events. Events may include an annual community festival, holiday events, children’s activities, etc. All proposed events will be reviewed by this group. If the event has merit, this group will organize the details and present it to the Board of Directors. If approved, the community events team will ensure that the event is carried out according to the plans. Organizers and volunteers will be needed for each proposed event. Please notify the chairman of your interest in an event and attend the next PCCA Events/Projects meeting. The Community Events/Projects Interest Section meets every other month on the second Wednesday.
Please refer to the website calendar for future meetings. The meeting is open to all interested citizens. Members can participate in more than one interest section.
