Historical Preservation

The Historical Preservation Interest Section of the PCCA is entrusted with the task of investigating, recording and maintaining the heritage of the Pipe Creek area.  We will strive to identify and help protect and encourage restoration of historical buildings, collecting artifacts and identifying historical sites found in eastern Bandera County.  We will attempt to gather and archive written and oral historical information on these findings.  We hope to find a suitable place to house and display these items and information for all interested people to benefit from.

Our most important method of archiving and sharing this information with the public will be by establishing a Historical Preservation website.  Other ways of sharing this information will be by presentations at schools and community events, field trips and guided tours at historic sites and possibly an annual community heritage event.

We had our first meeting for this Interest Section (11/5/2025).  The meeting was primarily organizational. We established a few goals and decided to have meetings every 3 months.  Please refer to the website calendar for future meetings.  All interested residents are welcome, membership is not required.
